Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I love working with thick macrame cotton and wondered how a pattern for an applique leaf would turn out. I think it makes a perfect coaster!

Full description
This crocheted coaster is made from a high quality recycled cotton braided cord in a lovely mix of green and yellow shades, called Spring.
The simple leaf shaped coaster is both functional and stylish and will look equally good when used in a kitchen, or for outside entertaining. It will protect surfaces from hot coffees to cocktails and it could also be used under a small vase or plant pot to protect a painted windowsill or glass table.
The coaster measures approximately 11cm in length, excluding the leaf stalk, and 10cm across its widest part. It would make a thougthful present for a plant lover or for a small new home gift that's a bit out of the ordinary.
Care instructions: Use a damp cloth for a gentle surface clean. May be hand washed with care at 30C, do not wash with other items. Reshape whilst damp. Do not bleach; Do not iron; Do not tumble dry.
