This sweet little purse was once a tired and damaged tea cosy from Sue Ryder in York. With some careful TLC, it has become a pretty and practical purse, ready to be used once again.

Full description
This pretty little purse, cosmetics bag or make up bag is made from a vintage embroidered tea cosy. Its sweet design of a cottage garden bed of flowers is typical of home sewn embroidery from back in the day.It has a real period charm, and would make a lovely gift for a vintage textile lover, a gardener, or to send out as a little virtual hug for someone this Christmas.
The embroidery has been stitched onto cotton to strengthen it, but it is still a soft little bag.
It measures 17 cm wide and 13 cm long, with a 17 cm purple zip orening.
The front is made of vintage embroidery with 3 little buttons, and the back is blue recycled denim to give it some edge. It is lined with a pretty vintage cotton.
There is a scalloped finger hook to hang it up somewhere nice and admire the flowers, and it is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to recycle. Your bag will be posted out packaged in clean reused wrapping from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
