Hello and welcome to my shop.
I've always loved making things and worked as a Graphic Designer for over twenty years. Nowadays I experiment with fabric, paints, embroidery, beads and collage. I particularly enjoy combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, unique mixed media pieces.

At home I have an old typesetter's tray filled with 'treasures' I've collected over the years. It makes an interesting piece of art and I love that you get drawn in to look at what's in each little compartment.
The inspiration for these smaller boxes came from there. I choose a colour palette and then it's a bit like doing a jigsaw, but I get to design the pieces. (And they're all straight edges which makes putting it together a bit easier!)

This unique and quirky assemblage would add a pop of colour to any home or make a lovely, original gift.
The artwork is housed in a sturdy wooden compartment box which has been painted with black acrylic paint. Inside the sections have been given a vintage feel with layers of paint, woodblock prints and decorative papers from old books.
Displayed inside are a head of Buddah, filigree metal elephant head and Mykonos metal verdigris goddess pendant. I've also used a selection of metal jewellery findings, sections of batik, a lovely white sand dollar and lots of pretty beads (crackle glass, foil glass, Czech fire-polished and pressed glass, Turquoise, Chrysoprase, wood, lampwork and carved bone in the shape of a fish.)
The box is free-standing and the overall size is approx. 24cm wide x 33cm high and 4.5cm deep.
Artwork will be shipped via Hermes.
