I've always loved tales of magic, myths and legends. One day on holiday I came across a hand made wall plaque of a green man. I just had to buy it thinking it would be lovely on my garden wall. When I returned home, I placed it on my kitchen wall intending to move it later. But he's still there. I love it so much, I want to see it everyday.
This led to me to create one in needle felt, using lots of greens. I hope you love him as much as I love mine.

Full description
Green Man needle felted using wool fibres and attached to a lovely piece of dried driftwood.
Perfect for a conservatory or porchway.
To create the green man face I first needle felted an oval shape using core wool fibres using green wool tops to cover. Then my favourite part - making the eyes followed by nose and mouth. I needle felted lots of leaves and arranged them around the face.
The green man is attached to a piece of reclaimed dried driftwood. I've looped cotton embroidery thread through the green man and round the driftwood to keep him secure. The loops can be used to display him using a wall hook.
The green man including the driftwood support measures 30 cms long x 17 cms across.
