During 2022 my daughter celebrated a special birthday and we visited Stonehenge taking the early morning tour one wet, blustery April day. The tour allowed us to wander through the stones (but no touching was allowed). A magical.morning. No visible sun!

A needle felt landscape of the Summer Solstice at Stonehenge.
This art work is available framed in a the frame shown in the photos or unframed. Choose from the drop down at the time of purchase.
Worked using the needle felting method on a piece of vintage mustard coloured merino wool blanket. The
colour of the blanket reminded me of the photos from the 2024 Summer Solstice at Stonehenge and inspired me to create this piece of artwork. The stones of Stonehenge are shown silhouette against this magnificent sunrise with streaks of mist covering the dips of the area surrounding the monumental stones
The outside of the frame measures 32cm x 23 cm. The art work measures 29 x 20 cm.
