Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.
As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.
Thank you for visiting me at Folksy.
What a fabulous find this wonderful little vintage cross stitch sampler turned out to be. I think it is probably a view in the Dales, possibly around Malham with its pretty dry stone walls, sheep and running beck. It is nice to give it a practical use and hope many more people will get to see its pretty cross stitch charms.

This charming vintage cross stitch make up bag has a wonderful countryside illustration on the front.Possibly The Yorkshire Dales, with its crags, cottages, sheep and dry stone walls! Tho it may just be The Lake District. It is a nice size for make up for a weekend away, or for keeping ipods and headphones tangle free. It would also make a fun place to store holiday memories. This one off little bag would make a lovely present for someone who likes to roam the countryside, or maybe for a friend who is learning to embroider or anyone needing a virtual hug right now.
This vintage embroidery has been stitched onto Aida or Evenweave, which are specialist fabrics with tiny holes in for embroiderers. I have backed it with cotton to strengthen it.
It measures 16 cm by 17 cm with a 16 cm long dusty pink zip opening.
The lining is a vintage floral cotton, and there is a hook so you can hang it up as a mini landscape view.
The back is made from faded recycled denim to give it some edge, and it is finished off with my own embroidered label.
I like to reuse. Your bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and sent as Royal Mail 2nd class.
