Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

Full description
This little embroidered piece has been hand-stitched and embellished onto natural, unbleached calico, framed with a 4’’ wooden embroidery hoop, with a plain cream felt backing and white hanging ribbon.
This colourful piece features a house cut from red gingham cotton fabric with dark brown felt roof, cream windows, pink front door, wispy smoke of metallic gold thread and the words ‘Home Sweet Home’ chain stitched in lilac and dark purple.
The garden flowers are comprised of printed cotton fabric, French knots, lazy daisy stitch and sequins.
This hoop would make a lovely new home present or a thoughtful keepsake gift for anyone who loves their home and loves handmade!
