Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.
* I endeavour to represent my pieces as clearly and with colours as true to life as possible, however some slight variations in tone between the image on screen and the piece itself may occur.*
This print is a nod to my childhood, where I vividly remember the satisfaction of rubbing away the crispy outer layer of honesty seed pods, revealing those beautiful shimmering silver 'coins'.

Full description
This print is a bold, stylised depiction of the seed pods of an honesty plant.
On from taking photographs and making simple sketches, my final design was drawn onto lino which I cut and then hand burnished in a bold black ink onto a beautiful handmade 'Lokta' paper.
The paper measures approx. 19cm x 25cm, with the printed image itself measuring approx. 14cm x 18cm.
Each of this small edition of just 10 is numbered and signed and having been printed by hand, slight variations from print to print will occur; such is the beauty of a unique, hand crafted piece.
Your print will be posted to you wrapped in tissue with a back board and packaged in a cardboard envelope.
This print is also available in white ink on plum 'Lokta' paper.
