My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, inspired by the natural world and those important people in my life. I love the combination of image and text, so my own cursive writing frequently plays an integral part.

I have always loved to create; from making clothes as a teenager to experimenting with painting, drawing and printmaking and gaining a Fine Art degree, through to teaching children to running workshops and creative classes for adults too…
Following 10 years as a primary school teacher, I determined to make time for some of the things I had loved to do before work took over, and so my love for hand sewing and later of printmaking was re-kindled, and my one-woman business was born.
My original business name, ‘Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch’, perfectly encapsulated those days when my work comprised entirely stitched pieces though it is printmaking, specifically hand cut and burnished lino printing which now dominates my work.
I love the almost meditative process of carving and the boldness of a single block print onto beautiful handmade papers, taking inspiration from the natural world and its changing seasons and those important people around me.

Beautiful print of garden birds. I love the way the berries they eat are represented next to the birds. I bought two as gifts but really want to keep one for myself! Carefully wrapped with signature cards making a perfect gift. I would definitely recommend.
