Once upon a time this was an apron, found in a charity shop in York. Sadly, the pocket had torn too badly to repair, but It is such an eye catching design that it had to be found another purpose. Huurraayy, I was able to make a set of 3 small cosmetics bags from its beautiful remnants.

Full description
A strong and unusual geometric print, makes this purse or make up bag just a little bit different. This vintage fabric was probably printed in the 1960’s, but it still looks cool today. It would make a great gift for a vintage textile lover, or a fan of Scandi style.
I have backed it with cotton for a bit of strength, but it is still soft. There is a bright red zip opening which measures 16 cm across, and the purse also measures 12 cm down. Inside, the lining is a strong mustard 1970s fabric which was given to me by a friend who collects old fabrics.
I stitched a hook to one corner, so you can hang it up to admire the design in its own right or simply twirl it round your finger! and I have finished it off with my own embroidered name tag.
I love to reuse old things. Your bag will arrive wrapped in clean, reused wrapping from my collection of old books and papers.
It will be posted out to you as Royal Mail 2nd class with proof of posting.
