This artwork encapsulates the dragonfly's natural environment of reeds and water in a beautifully simple way and with one of nature's most vibrant creatures.

Full description
This Beaded Beasties Azure Hawker is a beautifully bright, blue dragonfly very like its real life namesake. It is made from a majority of new iridescent glass beads. The acetate wings are printed with a vein design.
The grey box frame is completed with a cluster of bulrushes made from wooden skewers with wooden blue beads and leaves cut from a recycled greetings card. It is finished with a base of grey gravel chippings.
Everything is mounted on a background paper with a printed blue/green watercolour effect. The tableau is framed with a narrow white mount.
The coloured composition is approx. 15cm square within an overall frame size of 20cm (8 ins) square. The frame is 33mm deep and has a hanging hook on the back. Every box frame is unique.
