Hello and welcome! This page is home to Beaded Beasties: mixed media box frames of dragonflies and other creatures within an environment. Each one unique, made from new and recycled materials. I hope you love what you see.

The purple glass beads prompted me to find a dragonfly that would be appropriate and here it is.

Full description
The Purple-blushed Darter or Violet Dropwing dragonfly in my mixed media shadow box artwork is soaring above the African Savannah. I hope it gives a real feel of the wide open plains. There's a surging river, trees and shrubs and you can spot an elephant and a giraffe.
I have used a mix of upcycled materials including beads, dried and faux foliage, pebbles, cord and fabric.
It would make a unique gift for any lover of Africa, Nature itself or someone who appreciates handmade art. All of my frames are one of a kind.
The black box frame is 37 cm square and can be displayed on a shelf or on the wall. UK postage is included in the price.
