What a lovely find at a York table top sale. This Scandi tablecloth designed by Brit B may have seen one too many teatimes, but there were enough good fragments for me to stitch a series of pouches. I am busy working my way around the provinces of Sweden and this pretty Sodermanland is the sixth one. There is also a little pouch screen printed with Bohuslan in my shop right now.

Full description
Washed many a time, this vintage Swedish tablecloth has a soft, faded palette. I have stitched it into a practical little purse or pouch, including a finger hook so it can be hung up somewhere special to admire the design. It features a pretty couple wearing regional dress from Sodermanland, and between them is a white lily, the emblem of this Swedish province. It would make a great present for a lover of Scandi design, Swedish textiles or mid century modern. I have backed it onto cotton, but it is still soft, and the back is made from recycled blue denim to give it some edge.
The opening is a white zip measuring 16 cm across the width, and the length measures 18 cm. Peek inside, and you will see a bold,1970s floral lining.
Our lovely pair are screen printed onto the front, making it a perfect purse for a wedding present. This little bag is finished off with my own embroidered name tag, and was made by myself in York.
I love to recycle! Your little bag will be sent out creatively wrapped in clean, recycled packaging. It will be posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class, with proof of posting, which takes up to 3 working days.
