If you would like to discuss a commission to make something unique & personal (card or gift) please message - I love making your ideas a reality!
Newspapers may seem black & white and full of bad news but hand spinning the paper into yarn reveals hidden colours and the words are given new life. Good news from bad, new stories from old ones - why not make this little piece of good news from bad, a piece of your story now?
Any colour in the yarn has come from the ink in the newspaper - I don't add colours!
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Paper wedding anniversary card with a little custom love heart, handmade from recycled card and handspun newspaper yarn. I can find yarn in the approximate colour of your choice and also add words of your choice to this little heart card.
Perfect for that special paper wedding anniversary or valentine. Please message me to let me know what you would like.
---If I don't hear from you within 3 working days, the default will be yarn of my choice with the words "love..."---
Card is A6, comes with a recycled kraft envelope and compostable cornstarch wrapper to protect it.
The newspaper yarn used in these recycled greetings cards is carefully handspun from hand cut, thin strips of newspaper. I have tried spindles/shredders, but I find that using my fingers helps keep the yarn fine as possible as well as allowing me more control over the colours and textures produced. I also think there is something important about knowing the newspaper has physically passed through the hands of the maker, which transforms the bad news stories and makes them a part of your stories as you send them to your friends and family.
This card is individually hand-crafted to-order and each item may therefore look slightly different to the one photographed.I love doing unique commissions, bespoke pieces or customising designs to make them perfect for you so drop me a line!
