How lovely to find such a fabulous old tablecloth. Although it had been forgotten, some TLC has brought it back to life. I’m so glad those Mimosas are being seen again.

Vintage embroidery purse or cosmetics bag with Mimosa flowers design.
Mimosa flowers are standing proud on this pretty vintage embroidery. Remade from a wonderful old tablecloth which had seen better days, it is now a practical little purse, cosmetics or make up bag.
This beautiful hand embroidery could be as old as 1940’s with its glimpses of art deco swirls. It would make a lovely present for a textiles lover or embroiderer and would be perfect for storing keepsakes, or simply hanging up as a piece of craft work in its own right.
The embroidery has been backed with canvas to strengthen it.
It measures 16 cm across
It measures 13 cm down
There is a dark brown zip fastening measuring 16 cm.
The lining is in a vintage cotton, with a brown floral design.
The back is washed recycled blue denim, to give it a bit of edge.
There is a finger twirling loop to the top, so you can hang it up and admire the floral display.
The bag is finished with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse where I can. Your bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging.
It will be posted out as Royal Mail 2nd class, with proof of posting. This takes up to 3 working days.
