Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.
As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.
Thank you for visiting me at Folksy.
This sweet embroidery had been a tired, old fashioned and dusty cushion cover, destined for landfill. It scrubbed up so nicely, and lives again to tell her tales of frontier life!
She now has a matching pink friend, also in my shop.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Homespun vintage embroidered crinoline lady zip up purse.
This homespun crinoline lady with her brimmed bonnet reminds me of an early American settler, out on the frontier.
It is made from a piece of vintage embroidery, with an unusual orange, maroon and yellow colourway, stitched onto an open weave light brown base. Rescued from the landfill bin, it has been made into something pretty and practical once again. It would make a lovely present for a lover of textiles, or an embroiderer, and can be hung up as a piece of craftwork in its own right.
The embroidery has been stitched onto cotton to give it some strength, but it is still soft.
It measures 20cm across.
It measures 18cm down.
There is a dark brown zip opening of 20 cm with a flower head pull.
The front has an embroidered illustration of a period lady, and the back has a cluster of flowers in the bottom LHS corner.
There is a large covered button on the front LHS corner.
There is a hook on the RHS corner.
The inside lining is a vintage cotton in a dark floral pattern.
It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
F105
I like to reuse where possible. Your little bag will be posted out wrapped in clean, recycled packaging.
It will be sent as signed for Royal Mail 2nd class which takes about 3 working days, and will require a signature on arrival.
