Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.
As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.

I love finding these appliques, traditionally used to line bread baskets, or as napkins. They make up into such sweet accessories or cards.
I like to think they were brought home from holidays abroad back in the day-possibly Spain or Portugal.

Vintage applique fabric makeup bag, coin purse or keepsakes pouch
I often find this vintage appliqued fabric, but this one is especially sweet, as it is old, and hand stitched, with a washed and faded feel to it.
It would make a sweet makeup bag or purse, but it would also be nice to use it to store special mementoes, keepsakes or jewellery. A great gift for a textiles lover.
The front is backed onto cotton, to give it some strength, but keep it soft
The back is blue denim, to give it an edge, and some sturdiness
It measures 16 cm across
It measures 13 cm down
There is a blue zip opening measuring 16 cm
The lining is a vintage cream and rust floral
There is a hook to the RHS, so you can twirl it round your finger, or hang it up somewhere special as a little piece of craftwork in its own right
It is finished with my own embroidered name tag
This little purse can take a gentle wash, and likes to be pegged out to dry naturally

I like to reuse as much as possible. Your little purse will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging.
It will be posted as royal Mail 2nd class with certificate of posting. This takes around 3 working days. Let me know if you need it sooner!
