Full description
This is a unique original watercolour painting of a secretary bird. This striking bird has a long white-feathered neck. His face is bright orange, his eyes large and shining black and his long cruel curved beak has bright yellow edges. But the most astonishing feature is his crest of long, black, paddle-shaped feathers sticking up at all angles. With all these features this bird seemed to need an equally flashy background, so I splashed my red, yellow and orange watercolours around to make some fireworks!
Using artist-quality paints on heavy weight paper for a high-quality professional finish, the picture is presented in an off-white / pale cream colour mount, with a backing board and protected in a clear cellophane bag. Measuring (with mount) 12” wide by 16” tall (image size 8” by 12”) - that’s approximately 30 by 40 (20 by 30) in cm - it will fit a readily-available standard-size frame.
