A beautiful Greenman themed circular domed wooden pendant decorated using pyrography...

Pyrography is the art of burning an image onto a piece of wood or leather using a hot wire.

The image is my own, drawn freehand onto the wood. I use no templates or transfers, and each pendant is a little different. These pendants are quite challenging as the area to create a design is so small.

The design on this pendant is a Greenman, or Jack in the Green. His face is made of a mass of oak leaves and I've inked his eyes a bright green.
I try to photograph the items in different lights.

The pendant measures 4 centimetres in diameter and is slightly domed. I've sealed the pendant with varnish to protect the design.

The pendant comes with a free antiqued bronze type chain (approx 22 inches, but can be adjusted - just ask me) with a removable green charm depending on the wearer, let me know if you'd prefer an 18 inch leather style necklace. It comes gift wrapped.

If you can't see the design you're after, just get in touch with your ideas and I'll let you know if this is possible. If so, I will set up a custom listing and complete a custom design.

This item will be posted using Royal Mail Recorded post. I do try to recycle postage materials, but your item will arrive ready for gifting. If you'd like combined postage, let me know.

The mysterious Green Man depicted in mediaeval church carvings and is widely felt to be an embodiment of natural fertility, a spirit of the primeval greenwood and a trickster; by extension he is linked to such mythological characters as Puck, Robin Goodfellow, the wild man, and the Green Knight, among others such as the folklore behind the legend of Robin Hood.
