We had a lovely holiday in this converted stable, and while we were there I drew the cottage whose stonework had fascinated me. It had occurred to me that it would make a nice print, but I was daunted by the complication of it. However, a friend who saw the drawing on our return also suggested that it would make a nice one, so I accepted the challenge! It took a long time to cut, although I did slightly enlarge the image from the original A6 drawing to give me a little less of a headache!

Full description

This is a handcarved, individually hand-printed linocut that I have made of High Wray Farm buildings, Cumbria from an original drawing that I did on holiday in 2015.

It is printed on BFK Rives paper with black Caligo Safe Wash relief ink.

It is one of an open edition, which means that I will re-print more when needed, and is therefore not a numbered, limited edition, although I will not be re-cutting another block once this one is worn out.

The image is approx. 15.5 x 20.5 cm, and the paper size is approx. 25.5 x 28.5 cm

Designed by Mary Parker in Stoke-on-Trent
