LAST ORDERS FOR EASTER - FRIDAY 27TH MARCH
TasWood is waking to birdsong, brighter skies, and the first rustle of spring. New treasures have arrived in the studio - each one hand-drawn, hand-printed, and rooted in quiet woodland magic.
The Easter Hare Collection is now live, hopping through the Forgotten Tracks Post Portal with a pocketful of seasonal stories. From Good Egg keepsakes to folklore-rich illustrations, these pieces are made for little explorers and lovers of springtime wonder.
Favouriting my shop is the best way to catch new arrivals, seasonal stories, and the moment fresh magic lands in TasWood.
Long before the modern Easter Bunny hopped into children’s stories, the tale belonged to the Easter Hare - a creature woven through centuries of spring folklore. German traditions spoke of Oschter Haws, the magical hare who delivered bright eggs to well-behaved children, and Jacob Grimm (of Brothers Grimm) later linked this hare to Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of dawn and renewal.
I wanted to honour that older, more enchanting story in a gentle, child-friendly way. My illustration shows the Easter Hare tucked inside his woodland hollow, rocking thoughtfully as he checks his Good Egg List, with a warm Polka Egg teapot beside him and a mischievous little leveret peeping in. Turning this artwork into a night light felt like the perfect way to bring that soft, storybook glow into nurseries and playrooms - a small piece of spring folklore to light the evening.

Bring a gentle spring glow to your home with this Easter Hare LED night light, printed with my original ink and watercolour illustration on a crystal-clear 12cm x 13cm acrylic panel. Inspired by the older traditions of Oschter Haws, the egg-bringing hare of German folklore, this design celebrates the creature at the heart of the earliest Easter stories. Long before the modern bunny appeared, the hare was linked to Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of dawn and renewal - which is why I’ve drawn a hare, not a rabbit.
The scene shows the Easter Hare resting in his woodland hollow, rocking softly as he checks his Good Egg List. A steaming Polka Egg teapot warms the mossy nook, spring flowers and painted eggs brighten the hollow, and a cheeky little leveret peeps in to add mischief and magic.
Choose from:
- The full LED nightlight set (acrylic panel & wooden lamp base)
- Acrylic panel only – ideal if you already own a base and like to switch designs seasonally
The warm LED glow creates a soothing ambience for nurseries, playrooms, bedtime shelves or Easter displays. Each light includes a copy of my poem, The Tale of the Easter Hare, inspired by spring folklore.
USB powered (cable included). Lightweight, durable and beautifully clear.
Printed by me in Norfolk with gentle care. A lovely Easter gift or spring keepsake for little Good Eggs.
