Full description
I present A New Dawn as a quiet meditation on resilience and renewal. I painted a lone, wind-leaning tree rising from the fens at the edge of my village at first light, its dark, expressive branches set against a sky that slowly warms from cool violets and blues into soft golds and yellows. I was drawn to the moment just before full sunrise, when the land still holds the night’s shadows but the promise of day is unmistakable. The loose, layered brushwork in the grasses and water allows colours to bleed and mingle, suggesting movement, reflection, and the quiet breath of the landscape waking. The tree, angled yet enduring, becomes a symbol of persistence—rooted, weathered, but still reaching toward the light.
Painted with professional-quality oil paints, the surface is finished with a light matte varnish to enrich the colours and provide lasting protection. The canvas sides are painted white for unframed display, with picture-hanging fittings in place.
Size: 20 x 16 x 0.75 inches / 51 x 41 x 1.50 cm. The painting is signed and dated on the front lower right and on the reverse, and includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Carefully packaged and promptly dispatched, with free UK delivery included.
