Welcome & thank you for looking at my shop.
Please enjoy looking at my eclectic oil & watercolor paintings which cover a broad spectrum of subjects that delight and entrance me.
My work is influenced by my love of pattern and harmony of form in nature, illuminated manuscripts, and Persian miniatures as well as Impressionism and Fauvism

In this painting, I explore a quiet, intimate still life centred on a yellow jug holding a loose arrangement of tulips. I deliberately allow the flowers to arc and lean in different directions, creating a sense of gentle movement and asymmetry. The tulips, rendered in rich reds and deep purples, contrast with the luminous yellow of the jug, which I paint with soft, circular brushstrokes to give it a glowing, almost sculptural presence.
I place the jug on a blue tablecloth that radiates outward in expressive strokes, guiding the eye back toward the centre of the composition. The background is loosely defined, with warm yellows, pinks, and muted textures suggesting an interior space without fixing it too precisely. Light enters subtly from the right, softening the forms and enhancing the interplay between colour and shadow. Throughout the painting, I focus on colour relationships and mood rather than strict realism, allowing the still life to feel both grounded and gently abstracted.
Painted with professional-quality oil paints, the surface is finished with a light matte varnish to enrich the colours and provide lasting protection.
The canvas sides are painted white for unframed display, with picture-hanging fittings in place.
Size: 20 x 16 x 0.75 inches. The painting is signed and dated on the front lower right and on the reverse, and includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Carefully packaged and promptly dispatched, with free UK delivery included.
