All of the jewellery pieces in this Folksy shop are handmade by myself in a lovely, shed studio in my back garden.
The handmade jewellery I make is inspired by nature, the coastline of my home Island of Mersea, meaningful words and the joy of simplicity.
Handmade in recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work.

I love giving the jewellery I make a hammered texture, its fun to create and its finish is wonderfully shimmery. And combined with a garnet a beautiful dark red coloured semi-precious gemstone it is a perfect pairing.
Garnets are January's birthstone.

Full description
A 5mm dark red garnet round shaped smooth stone has been set in a handmade recycled sterling silver ring. The ring band is a 4mm x 2mm D profile ring with a hammered textured finish.
Inside the ring it has been stamped with 925 to show that it has been made in solid sterling silver.
Recycled silver, is no different to traditional silver, it is just more sustainable as it has had another life. Silver straight from mining has a devastating affect on local people and wildlife.
All the rings I make are made to your require ring size. If you are unaware of the size you need please let me know and I will send you a ring sizer, alternatively measure with a thin strip of paper or string. If it is for a gift, I do offer resizing of rings.
The ring can take between 2 - 5 days to make before posting.
