This artwork is inspired by the gorgeous tiny wren who I see hopping amongst the ivy or darting between branches in my little cottage garden, most often during the winter months. I leave a bowl of water out for the birds, but the little wren seems to prefer to sip water from the icy drops collected between the needles of our fir trees…
Once we were lucky enough to watch the wren carefully weave an intricate cocoon of a nest in our ivy – a treasured memory of this beautiful bird!

A4 giclee art print of my hand-drawn wren artwork.
Wrens may be tiny, but they carry so much charm. My wren art celebrates a small but mighty bird which has been long treasured in British folklore as a symbol of wisdom, creativity, joy, transformation, and quiet determination – and often seen as a bringer of Spring. This little bird is drawn in coloured pencil and pen, full of soft textures and warm, earthy tones. I often see wrens darting between branches in my little garden or hear them singing from the hedges on my morning walks here in Yorkshire - quick as a heartbeat and curious as anything.
Each print is created using museum-quality giclée printing on Hahnemühle bamboo paper for a softly natural finish that suits the wren’s character. Using archival inks and acid-free packaging materials ensures your print will last beautifully and reflects the quality, sustainability, and the slow, thoughtful craft that goes into preparing each print by hand.
