Grey squirrels are not generally well liked. They annoy garden bird watchers with their bird table thievery and they are the poor relation of their glamourous cousin the red squirrel. I however love the little critters. We have been surrounded by dozens of them over the last few weeks as they store their food supplies for the winter. I’ve also been told off by more than one with a loud chittering, as I’ve presumed to walk a little too close with my dog. Seeing a grey squirrel always brightens up my day.
This piece is printed on Lokta paper which is a durable, handmade paper from Nepal made from the inner bark of the lokta plant. It is known for its unique, textured, and slightly mottled appearance, and because the plant regenerates after being harvested, it is a sustainable and eco-friendly material.
