This angel was inspired by Frida Kahlo — her fearless colour, her self-expression, and her ability to turn pain into beauty. I wanted to capture that same spirit through something simple and heartfelt: bright felt shapes, bold embroidery, and joyful details like the pom-pom trim around her skirt.
Her plain white wings represent calm and openness — a quiet counterpoint to the vibrant colours of her dress and flower crown. Together they create a small celebration of individuality, creativity, and handmade joy.
Every stitch was made slowly and intentionally, honouring the folk traditions that Frida herself cherished.
