These velvet cones grew from my love of old-world celebrations — a blend of Victorian parlour charm, Indian festival colour, and the glittering theatre of winter. I wanted to make something that felt both nostalgic and enchanted: an ornament that looks like it might have been passed down from a carnival, a temple, or a fairground long ago.

Traditionally, sweet cones were filled with sugared almonds, candied fruits, or small trinkets and hung on Christmas trees or given as gifts. I reimagined that idea using sumptuous dark blue velvet, gold trims, bright felt linings, and colourful tassels — like tiny treasure vessels waiting to be filled with treats or wishes.

Each one carries the joyful excess of the season — sequins that catch the light, jewel drops that sparkle, and soft velvet that invites touch. They’re small but deliberate acts of celebration: tiny keepsakes designed to bring a sense of wonder to modern festivities, and to remind us of the beauty of handmade decoration.
