This garland was inspired by Papel Picado — the beautiful cut-paper decorations used across Mexico to celebrate life’s big and small moments. I’ve always loved their spirit: joyful, bright, and handmade.
I wanted to create a textile version that captured that same festive energy — delicate but durable, colourful but crafted to last. Each one celebrates the art of everyday decoration, where a string of colour can transform a space and lift a mood.
Part of my Curious Adornments collection for Ena Green Designs, it brings together my love of folk art, textiles, and cultural craftsmanship in one small, happy string of flags.
