The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic. All Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.

Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or zdonated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

I visited Garstang, Lancashire on a lovely July day. I found two unusual plates in a resale shop, striking textured rims. Unsure what I could do with the plates I stored them for a few months.
Eventually I risked clipping the rims to form random shards. Sadly a lot of the pattern shattered but I did managed to save some of the mottled green/brown edging.
The ceramic is hard which takes a long time to shape by hand, but after some time a lovely circle formed. Set into a recycled sterling silver bezel, the glaze is in tact and catches the light.
The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the materials used. Ceramic and Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and often show tiny marks left by the process of creation and recycling.
Hanging on 18 inch recycled sterling silver chain.
Set in 13 mm recycled silver bezel tray.
Both polished and hallmarked 925.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue.
Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production.
Complete with short bio, cleaning cloth and FSC®-certified gift bag.
All materials used are from sustainable sources and can be recycled.
