The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic. All Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.

Additional terms
All finds personally collected from river banks, recycle shops, beaches, wherever dropped, lost or donated. Ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

I bought two sample small tiles, handmade and ethically produced, for use as wall decoration. However, sadly both were broken on delivery and instead of throwing away I decided to use what I could. Most of the patterns were cracked and shattered so not much could be saved.
I managed to create this pendant from the pattern which ran around the edges of one of the tiles. The final piece is abstract and set into an open back claw bezel made from recycled sterling silver. Usually this type of bezel tray is used for more 3D settings but I like the way the shard of tile sits flat held by the four claws.
The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the materials used. Ceramic and Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and often show tiny marks left by the process of creation and recycling.

Set in 18 mm x 13 mm x 2 mm recycled silver bezel tray.
Both polished and hallmarked 925.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue.
