Wilbur was the very first print I created for Lizzie Martell Illustration - and my personal favourite. I have always been fascinated with shipwrecks and treasure at the bottom of the sea...And so is Wilbur!

Meet Wilbur – a gentle explorer of the deep, drifting quietly through the ocean blue with curiosity in his heart. You’ll often find him gliding past coral reefs and long-forgotten shipwrecks, listening to the creak and whisper of the sea. A flurry of rainbow fish trail around him, as if drawn to his calm presence. Wise, peaceful, and full of wonder, Wilbur carries the spirit of quiet adventure – a reminder of the beauty that lies beneath the surface, if we take the time to look.
Part of my much-loved “An (Animal) Called…” series, Wilbur is one of six illustrated characters - each full of personality and brought to life with gentle watercolours and delicate ink details.
Printed on high quality 210gsm off-white Fine Art paper, ‘A Whale called Wilbur’ is printed using archival, colour-fast inks to ensure the colours keep vibrant and your print stays beautiful. The paper has a very slight texture to it which gives a lovely similarity to watercolour paper.

Unframed and carefully packaged in a protective sleeve with a sturdy backing board.
