Handcrafted into
Pendant
October 2025
I visited Penrith October 2023, a lovely market town in Cumbria where I bought a small box of lovely but damaged plates.
All sorts of wonderful patterns, including this rich dark blue design, made by Churchill, England since 1795.
I really love the depth of colour on the glaze and the pretty bloom part of the pattern. I gently clipped around the flower, hand sanded the sides and back. Over a course of a few days I used a small polishing strip to bring out the shine on the glaze.
The idea is to create something new from old and use recycled materials to produce individual, distinctive gifts. One off jewellery, completely unique in every way.
The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the materials used. Ceramic and Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and often show tiny marks left by the process of creation and recycling.

Set in 15 mm recycled silver bezel tray.
Both polished and hallmarked 925.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue.
Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production.
