Just to let everyone know the shop will shut for Christmas on Sunday 14th December this year.
Please enjoy browsing and should you buy a doll she will be packaged in an organza bag. I have been given literally hundreds and will use them until they run out rather than let them go to landfill. Also I have been asked why I don't often repeat combinations of fabric with the dolls. It is because I tend to buy remnant stock where I can, tiny pieces of fabric that are too small for most people to use. So often I have only enough to make one doll. Full description
This is Snowflake, a tiny winter berry Christmas mouse in a wool cape. She is a hand embroidered mouse with little leather ears and tail. She is dressed in a Christmas cotton from Makower called Good Tiding Sarasa Cream She has coordinating underskirts in cream linen, cream tulle mesh and cream cotton lace bloomers. To keep warm she has a wool cape lined with a Japanese yarn dye cotton in almond to pick up the creams in her dress. Her dress is finished with organza ribbon, tiny buttons and little leather shoes. She is a brown mouse with brown ears, a pink tail with white whiskers and a pink nose with little black bead eyes.
She is softly stuffed with a spice mix in her stuffing for a gentle scent and she has a tiny piece of frosted river glass at her heart. She has a brass ring to her back in case you want to place her on the wall.
She stands 7 inches tall
She is a folk doll for grown ups and sadly is not suitable for children to play with.
