My dolls and doll making interests have evolved over the last twenty five years into folk dolls for grown ups. Each one is a labour of love and each one has her own personality. I make one at a time and lavish attention to get my details right. I tried making them in batches but they lost their heart so now each is made individually from start to finish. I rarely repeat combinations, each doll being unique and a one of a kind.
I studied design at university but having done lots and lots of short courses in textiles I had a wonderful confidence boost with a City and Guilds certificate and diploma in Stitched Textiles with Dr Judith Peacock at Lancaster, the old City and Guilds Part 1 and 2. The best four years ever, I learned so much from Judith and my fellow stitchers. I love hand work and have a special interest in counted thread work, developing my own style over the last ten years. I will be offering a very limited number of commission slots each month, so if you want something individual keep an eye out for dates.

Sellers skill and love of their craft shown in all the details described and the very high quality of their work up close. Love the smell of the chamomile in her stuffing and the piece of citrine at her heart! Purchased mouse as a gift but she will be hard to part with despite already having my own collection!
