Trinket box workshop
This session is suitable for all skill levels. We can use a sewing machine for some of the construction, but machine use can be omitted if you prefer to hand stitch everything.
I will guide you through each of the steps to make your personal keepsake box at a nice, gentle pace, savouring the process as we go and hopefully picking up some new skills.
We start by making a small textured textile piece for the box lid, working with fabrics, trims and embroidery if we want to. We'll experiment with applique, hand embroidery, needle felting if you wish, and other textile art techniques to create a unique piece for your own home or to give as a gift.
All materials are provided but you are welcome to bring your own pieces of fabric and trimmings, be that little scraps or something really special that you've hoarded for a while, to use in your box.
Registrations close 2 weeks before class date. You will need to bring a packed lunch, but light refreshments and hot drinks will be available throughout the day.
