I was asked to make a Lily of the Valley set for a bride, but also to wear for Flora Day. Flora Day is a big day in Helston. It is held on the 8th May unless it lands on a Sunday (Church) or a Monday (Market Day) the exception was for the King's coronation where it was held on a Monday for probably the only time ever! Flora Day is a historic event, where Spring is welcomed and you say goodbye to Winter and the cold dark days. It is celebrated with several dances throughout the day and there is also the town band that plays the Flora Day song. Lily of the Valley is everywhere.
