I'm working around all of the remaining 47 bottle kilns and ovens of Stoke-on-Trent, a tiny number of the thousands that used to populate the skyline here. Many are listed and in good order, such as these two, which have been incorporated into a new housing development, something which is becoming increasingly common in the city. I love the forms and enjoy drawing and printing them.

This is a varied edition of my single colour Linocut of the remaining bottle kilns of the Johnsons' Sanitary Ware factory near Stoke-on-Trent city centre. The image is roughly A5, and the paper just smaller than A4. It's printed by hand on Japanese Ho-Sho paper, with Caligo Safewash relief ink.
