This particular view was the beginning of my interest in recording the fascinating geometry of the historic potteries in Stoke-on-Trent. I love so much about the architecture, the shapes are so varied - from the conventional Victorian factory buildings with their small-paned windows to the curves of the kiln chimneys; the barrel-vaulted ceilings inside many of the buildings and the hotch-potch of sizes of structures that were added on as production grew. I'm about half way through recording the 47 remaining ovens and kilns, and still as committed as ever!

Full description
This is a single-colour hand-carved, hand-printed linocut of Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent. The Print area is roughly A5, on slightly smaller than A4 paper. It is printed on Japanese Ho-Sho paper with Cranfield Caligo Safewash ink. Please choose the colour that you'd like from the drop-down menu.
