I'm very fond of fungi - I find them fascinating. I made this print, and its companion Velvet Shank 2, fairly early on when I took up printmaking again. They often pop up on dead trees in our local park during the late autumn and winter, and have been a good source of drawing practice!

Full description
Based on my drawing of a crop of these fungi on a tree in our local park, this open edition linocut is hand printed by me with black Caligo Safewash relief ink on BFK Rives paper (subsequent prints will be on Japanese Ho-Sho paper once the original set have found new homes!). The paper size is 13x17cm, and the print area is 7.5x7.5cm.
