My background is in Graphic Design and although I'm now retired I still enjoy the creative process. A lot of my work features birds and flowers and I particularly love combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, one-of-a-kind mixed media pieces.

Full description
A quirky textile artwork of a tabby cat snoozing in an armchair. It was inspired by our westie's habit of stealing any temporarily vacated chair to enjoy the warm spot!
The ginger cat has been painted onto cotton using layers of inks and acrylic paints. I've used embroidery threads to add a bit of texture and given him some shimmery metallic whiskers. The chair and cushion have been made out of furnishing fabric remnants and he's lying on a cosy plaid blanket with tassels.
I've made a matching tag in case you're sending it as a gift.
The artwork is backed with acid free mount board and comes in a good quality double mount. Outer measurements are 10 x 8 inches. Visible area 7 x 5 inches. It is titled and signed on the reverse.
