Full description
Wool landscape of hills and fields. A dry stone wall runs across the foreground of the picture. Poppies and daises grow along the base of the wall. A path runs through a gate in the wall where it continues through a meadow full of yellow buttercups. Trees grow beyond the far wall. An old stone barn used for shelter for walkers stands weatherworn in the opposite field. In the distance low hills sit in the skyline.
Made by needle felting wool fibres onto a piece of vintage blanket. Wool curls give depth to the flowers. Hand blended fibres give a lovely texture to the stone wall.
It is framed in a pale grey distressed look wood frame and is for hanging only. No glass in the frame enables all the colours of textures to be appreciated. The frame measures 32 x 23 cms.
