I am happy to wrap and send gifts direct to recipients with a note - just specify their delivery address when you check out (I use track 24 or special delivery so you can follow it round the country to the recipient). Full description
This juicy purple pendant features a rounded triangular cabochon of bowlerite which is smoothly bezel set in sterling silver and finished with a simple loop bail. Bowlerite is the name given to the hard plastic recovered from the outside of vintage bowling balls, this ball had a swirled colour palette of deep burgundy with purple, lilac and pink and must have been quite a sight as it rolled down the lanes. The burgundy has some shimmer to it which is more obvious on the reverse, the doming of the cabochon (which was determined by the shape of the bowling ball) means that it will sit better when worn the right way round but there is nothing to stop you from wearing it with the back showing. The final photo shows some slabs of rough bowlerite, the two pieces top middle are from the same bowling ball as this pendant, the rough is not included in the sale.
Bowlerite is warm to the touch and lightweight whilst the shape is very tactile for those that like to fiddle with their jewellery. Given its previous life as a 10 pin bowling ball this would make a great gift for a bowling fan (or a lover of The Big Lebowski).
Measures 50mm by 19mm (excluding the generous bail) and comes complete with an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain in a gift box.
