TasWood is waking to birdsong, brighter skies, and the first rustle of spring. New treasures have arrived in the studio - each one hand-drawn, hand-printed, and rooted in quiet woodland magic.
The Easter Hare Collection is now live, hopping through the Forgotten Tracks Post Portal with a pocketful of seasonal stories. From Good Egg keepsakes to folklore-rich illustrations, these pieces are made for little explorers and lovers of springtime wonder.
Mother’s Day gifts are also available, including Finn’s Gift of Gloves - an illustration born from a childhood misunderstanding and shaped into a tale of innocence, friendship and folklore. Last orders for Mother’s Day is 7th March to ensure everything arrives in time.
Favouriting my shop is the best way to catch new arrivals, seasonal stories, and the moment fresh magic lands in TasWood.
This egg cup is inspired by old spring folklore, long before the modern Easter Bunny appeared. In those earlier tales, it was the Easter Hare who visited well-behaved children, leaving colourful eggs in hidden nests to welcome the return of spring. I chose to illustrate the hare - rather than a bunny - because he belongs to this older, more magical tradition.
My ink and watercolour artwork shows the Easter Hare in his favourite rocking chair, checking his Good and Bad Egg list with a polka-dot teapot by his side. It’s a gentle, storybook moment that captures the warmth and whimsy of the folklore that inspired him.
I wanted this personalised Easter egg cup to feel like a tiny keepsake from that world - something that brings a little enchantment to breakfast, sparks storytelling at the table, and becomes a cherished part of Easter morning for children and adults alike.

Full description
Bring a little enchantment to breakfast with this personalised ceramic Easter egg cup, hand-printed with my original Easter Hare illustration. Perfect for soft-boiled eggs or tiny chocolate treats, this Easter egg cup makes a charming personalised Easter gift for children and adults.
Before the Easter Bunny, there was the Easter Hare - a magical creature from old spring folklore, said to visit well-behaved children and leave colourful eggs in hidden nests. This design celebrates that older tale with warmth and whimsy.
Each cup features your chosen initial and the words:
“Name, You’re A Good Egg!”
A cheerful message that makes this a thoughtful Easter breakfast gift, springtime keepsake, or Good Egg present for little ones.
The illustration is taken from my ink and watercolour artwork of the Easter Hare sitting in his favourite rocking chair, checking his Good and Bad Egg list with a polka-dot teapot by his side - a gentle nod to the folklore that inspired him. Every egg cup also includes a copy of my poem, The Tale of the Easter Hare, inviting you into the story behind the design.
Lovingly crafted from durable ceramic and hand-printed in my Norfolk studio, it’s perfectly sized at 6.3cm (height) x 4.9cm (diameter). Ideal for Easter baskets, nursery breakfasts, spring celebrations, or simply adding a touch of magic to everyday moments.
