TasWood is waking to birdsong, brighter skies, and the first rustle of spring. New treasures have arrived in the studio - each one hand-drawn, hand-printed, and rooted in quiet woodland magic.

The Easter Hare Collection is now live, hopping through the Forgotten Tracks Post Portal with a pocketful of seasonal stories. From Good Egg keepsakes to folklore-rich illustrations, these pieces are made for little explorers and lovers of springtime wonder.

Mother’s Day gifts are also available, including Finn’s Gift of Gloves - an illustration born from a childhood misunderstanding and shaped into a tale of innocence, friendship and folklore. Last orders for Mother’s Day is 7th March to ensure everything arrives in time.

Favouriting my shop is the best way to catch new arrivals, seasonal stories, and the moment fresh magic lands in TasWood.

These Easter cards began as an ink drawing, finished with soft watercolour washes to create a gentle, storybook feel. I wanted the artwork to feel like a quiet moment inside the Easter Hare’s woodland hollow - full of texture, warmth and tiny details to discover. The rocking chair, Polka Egg teacup, scattered eggs and the cheeky little leveret were all painted to bring a sense of springtime mischief and magic.

I chose to illustrate a hare rather than a bunny because hares belong to the oldest Easter traditions. In German folklore, the egg-bringing Oschter Haws was always a hare, and Jacob Grimm later linked this creature to Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of dawn and renewal. Hares were seen as symbols of spring, watchfulness and new beginnings, which is why mine sits checking his Good Egg List.

This illustration was created to bring a little folklore, wildlife and handmade charm to your Easter greetings.

Full description

Step into a world of springtime folklore with this pack of three illustrated Easter Hare greetings cards, each taken from my original ink and watercolour painting. My Easter Hare is inspired by the older traditions of Oschter Haws - the egg-bringing hare of German folklore - long before the modern Easter Bunny appeared. Jacob Grimm later linked this hare to Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of dawn and renewal. That’s why I have drawn a hare, not a bunny: it’s the creature at the heart of the original Easter story.

Each card features my cosy springtime scene: the Easter Hare resting in his woodland hollow, rocking gently as he checks his Good Egg List. A steaming Polka Egg teacup sits beside him, colourful eggs and spring flowers brighten the hollow, and a cheeky little leveret peeps in to add mischief and magic.

Printed in the UK on premium Rives Shetland 148 x 148 mm cardstock, these cards have a beautiful woven texture that complements the hand-painted artwork. Inside, you’ll find the greeting “You’re A Good Egg” along with my poem sharing the Tale of the Easter Hare, with plenty of space for your own message. Each pack includes three cards with matching Kraft envelopes for a rustic, natural finish.

Perfect for Easter baskets, springtime wishes, or anyone who loves folklore, wildlife and charming illustrated cards - a thoughtful way to share a little seasonal magic.
