Full description
A one-of-a-kind, hand sewn textile artwork of a folk bird and flower.
I've used a soft, muted palette of pinks and purples for this artwork. There's a pretty strip of Indian embroidered trim at the base and I've used batik fabric as the background. The folk bird is made using cotton and batik fabrics and has been embellished with metallic embroidery threads, seed beads and tiny sequins. The pomegranate shape surrounding the bird and flower has been cut from canvas and painted gold.
I've made a matching tag in case you're sending it as a gift.
The picture comes in a good quality double mount. Outer measurements 10 x 8 inches. Visible area 7x 5 inches. It is titled and signed on reverse.
