Tow path along the River Goyt, New Mills
This original watercolour captures the gentle play of sunlight filtering through a canopy of summer greenery, where overhanging boughs trace shimmering reflections across the River Goyt in the Peak District. The artist’s sensitive use of layered washes and expressive brushwork conveys both freshness and movement, while subtle contrasts of light and shadow invite a sense of quiet immersion in nature.
