These tiny, natural, AA grade Lapis Lazuli beads are micro-faceted for maximum sparkle.
Lapis Lazuli is the most popular alternative to Sapphire as a birthstone for Virgo and September.
Lapis Lazuli is an ancient rock, an aggregate of the minerals lazurite, calcite and pyrite.
It has been prized by human civilisations for over 6000 years.
Cleopatra famously used ground Lapis for her eye make-up and Renaissance artists made a costly pigment from it called 'ultramarine'- think of the blue headband worn by Vermeer's 'girl with a pearl earring'.

Beautiful, natural, AA grade faceted Lapis Lazuli earrings, micro-faceted for extra sparkle.
Lapis is a birthstone for September.
Each of these sparkly drop earrings features a 6mm Lapis Lazuli bead topped with a 3mm gold vermeil stardust rondelle, 4mm quality Austrian crystal 'blue shade' bicone and four AA grade, 2.75mm, micro-faceted Lapis Lazuli rondelles, three above and one below the crystal.
The Lapis beads are a lovely deep blue with golden Pyrite flecks.
Tiny 2mm gold vermeil spacers add extra shine and enhance the colour of the Lapis.
The beads are threaded onto gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been thickly plated with 18k gold.
Hand made (by me!) in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon, UK, these pretty earrings would make a special gift for a birthday, anniversary, Mother's Day or Valentine's.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3.25cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
