Hi, I'm The Old Button - welcome to my shop and I hope you find lovely things that you would like to buy.
Most items will be dispatched within 1 day of ordering (see each listing), and I can send on your behalf - just add my Direct to Recipient upgrade to your order.
I use Track 24, or 1st class for cards, as standard, but you can also add an upgrade to Special Delivery.
I've paused commissions for my embroidered play scenes and patchwork quilts until next year, but I have gift voucher options.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Easy gifting for a crafty friend - my letterbox set combines one of my sew it yourself Welsh wool heart kits with my Simplicity pattern themed needle case. A gorgeous gift for a crafty friend and presented in a sturdy postal box, this is ideal for gifting directly, or I can post on your behalf.
The box also includes a choice of one my printed cards featuring my hand embroidery - ideal for special messages, and there are optional extras too.
INCLUDED IN THE BOX
- DIY sewing kit to make a hanging heart decoration from vintage or upcycled wool blankets (incl fabric, thread, stuffing, ribbon and needle/pins)
- Handmade needle case in a vintage style cotton fabric with wool felt inner pages
- Full instructions on how to sew the heart - with links to more resources on my blog
- Printed card - left blank or with your message hand written inside
OPTIONAL EXTRAS - Add a mug mat for those essential cups of tea (or coffee) while you sew, or an additional sewing project - a Welsh Wool crazy patchwork card / mini picture.
Everything will be wrapped in tissue and tied with pretty striped cord, and sent in a sturdy postal box.
LARGE LETTERBOX - this gift uses a cardboard box that fits the standard Royal Mail large letter size. The box measures 35 by 25 by 2cm. If you think it won't fit, you can add a note at checkout to request a soft bag package instead.
