These small Bud Vases are designed as if a three dimensional, free standing painting.
Inspired by a stretch of nearby landscapes.
Choosing a palette of Autumnal, Winter coloured glazes and naturally ocurring oxides, to evoke the feeling of a walk along the Scottish Coastline in the later and early part of the year.
Each one thrown with the same weight of clay, but each one unique, the shapes inspired by a collection of old ceramic and glass ink bottles that I have.
Just the right size to fit on a mantle piece or brighten a small space and fill with a few flowers, leaves or seed heads from the garden or found outside dependent on the season, but equally attractive when empty.
Can be displayed as a set of three or used individually.
Each one stamped with my makers mork 'SWF'on the bottom edge.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This set of wheel thrown Bud vases all start life as the same weight of clay.
After throwing in small batches, they are left leaving to dry before being placed in the kiln for a first kiln firing.
Glazing can then begin,adding on layers of oxides, coloured and clear glazes over bands of alternating wax resist, to create and evoke a feeling of land and sky.
The wax will quickly burn away during the vases high temperature glaze firing.
This trio set of Bud Vases all approx measure 4.5 at the base, a height of approx 5.5 cm.
